Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh has admitted that he is bitterly disappointed with the fact that his side failed to progress from the group stages of the 2016 African Nations Championship in Rwanda. The Nigerians required a draw from their final group game against Guinea to earn a place in the quarter-finals, but they could only manage a 1-0 defeat, and were knocked out as a result.

Guinea received positive news this week, as the Confederation of African Football (CAF) revealed that they are now cleared to resume hosting on football matches in the country, following a sufficient amount of time without new Ebola cases emerging in the nation. This comes a month after Sierra Leone received the same news concerning their ability to welcome teams from all over the continent and world for football purposes.

Mass vacccines against Ebola are by no means a given. Several clinical trials are underway in West Africa, but the World Health Organization won’t decide until August at the earliest whether or not mass vaccinations are recommended for the virus. The final say on introducing a vaccine will be made by the affected countries, according to WHO.
