Thirty-two African teams will continue with their quest to be amongst the 15 teams that will join host Morocco at next year’s CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The top two sides from the seven groups will be guaranteed automatic qualification and they will also be joined by one best third-placed side.

With three rounds of matches left to play, defending champions Nigeria are in danger of missing the cut after failing to win any of their first three matches while Algeria are on the verge of securing their qualification with three wins out of three games.

All AFCON matches will be played on Wednesday.
