Cameroonian Gov. Officials Heighten Efficiency With Mobile Software

From Cameroon Tribune

The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralisation (MINATD) in Cameroon has installed mobile software for its staff as part of its efforts to improve service provision.

The Cameroon Tribune reports the software will be installed in all mobile devices of the ministry’s staff and help access the country’s constitution as well as the directory of the entire public administration.

Theophile Abega , director general of MGSOFT, the company installing the software, said: “Nowadays there is no possible development without integrated information and communication technologies (ICTs).

“To be digitally connected is no longer optional, but vital to our modern civilisation and that is why as contemporary managers we have to provide ICTs for organisations to be successful.”

The software aims to be a tool for employees to access the constitution and the public service directly through their handsets running Android either with internet connection or not.
