Inter Milan Interested In Roma’s Egyptian Winger Mohamed Salah

Italian Serie A side Inter Milan are aiming to secure the transfer of Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah from top-flight rivals Roma in the upcoming summer transfer market window.

The talented Egyptian has been a top performer for the club from the capital during the current campaign, and as a result he is an interesting prospect for teams looking to strengthen their attacking lines for next season.

According to Italian reports linking the Nerazzurri from Milan with the 24-year-old Egyptian international, the Italians previously monitored the youngster’s progress when he was still with FC Basel, before joining Chelsea in the English Premier League.

From the London side he joined Fiorentina on loan, thriving in the Italian league and leading to another loan to Roma, which was eventually made permanent. Now another Italian side wants Salah to commit his future to the industrial capital of the country.

The Egyptian international has thus far scored nine goals for the Romans in the current season, adding a further seven assists for his team-mates, illustrating the value that he would bring to a team.

His comfort in Serie A has been proven by successful stints with both Fiorentina and Roma, ensuring that he is considered a solid performer by Inter Milan management.

A big offer for winger Mohamed Salah

While Roma is unlikely to want to sell the impressive winger with sublime speed and skill, a big offer from Inter Milan, which is projected to be in the region of around $45 million, could convince them to rethink their position.

Selling to a rival would not be ideal, but for the sum of money that could potentially be offered by the club from San Siro, any outfit would need to give the offer serious consideration before making a final decision.

Roma are currently fighting for the title with perennial winners and table-toppers Juventus, and at the moment they feature in second place with 59 points behind Juve, thanks in no small part to Salah’s efforts up front.

Inter Milan are in sixth place with 51 points, a position that would see them qualify for the Europa League, and not the more favourable UEFA Champions League.

Salah’s efforts with the Pharaohs of Egypt at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations saw the team reach the final before losing to Cameroon in a tense and entertaining 2-1 result.

Salah scores two goals at the tournament before returning to club side Roma for the remainder of the Serie A season.
