It is found in the African Maghreb (Arab West). Morocco has a population of 32.6 million people. About 20 percent of the population is obese. Women are the most affected, with 63 percent of total number of obese people. In most parts of the Maghreb nation, ‘fatness’ is considered a sign of beauty, fertility and most men prefer women who are considered overweight.
