Egypt Looks For Support In Fighting Islamic State

Along with Jordan and the UAE, Egypt is now involved with airstrikes launched in Iraq and Syria. Battling the Islamic State — of which members beheaded 21 Egyptians — Egypt is looking to strengthen the international coalition of Arab states, CCTV Africa reported. Teetering on initial involvement, Egypt has garnered support in fighting terrorism as Saudi Arabia and Bahrain have agreed to join forces.

“We agree on their tax. We want to hit hard — the ISIS fighters will kill our boys,” Talaat Hawas, a resident of Cairo, told CCTV Africa. “We cannot just sit and watch Egyptians being killed and do nothing about it.
