Liverpool Considering A Move For Nigeria’s Vincent Enyeama

Liverpool are reported to be looking into a possible move for Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama in the next transfer window period at the end of the European season.

The shot-stopper currently plays for French club Lille in the Ligue 1, and has been an outstanding performer for the side.

According to Metro, the Merseyside club has been monitoring Enyeama recently, and have been impressed enough to suggest that a £3million deal may be possible in June/July.

The Nigeria number one was previously linked to interest from other English Premier League sides, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Enyeama has been one of the main reasons for Lille’s virtually impenetrable defence over the last few years, and in 2013 the Super Eagles star was able to go for a record 1,062 minutes before conceding in the French top flight.

He has also been one of the most important players for the Nigerian national team in the last few years, playing a crucial part in their 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title winning campaign in South Africa, showing leadership and steely determination to guide his charges to continental victory.

If reports from Nigeria are to be believed, according to Metro, the keeper could well be playing his football for the Reds at Anfield next season, but Lille will certainly not want to part ways with Enyeama after his fine performances for the club.
