Africa’s Oil, Gas And Mining Conferences Unfazed By Falling Oil Prices

2nd Cameroon International Mining Conference & Exhibition (May 27-29, Yaoundé, Cameroon) Organized with the Cameroon Ministry of Mines, this year’s theme is “A fresh approach to the Cameroonian mining sector.” Participants will hear from a range of speakers, including government representatives, mining companies and international consultants about opportunities, investments and mining regulations.

5th Zambia International Mining and Energy Conference and Exhibition (June 18-19, Lusaka, Zambia) Organized by Zambia’s Ministry of Mines, Energy and Water Development, ZIMEC 2015 provides a platform “to inform delegates on latest developments in the mining and energy sectors, showcase Zambia’s strong potential as an investment destination and promote dialogue between the principal public and private sector players.” Last year the event attracted 363 participants and representatives from 130 companies and 21 countries.

East Africa Oil & Gas Expo 2015 (Aug. 27-29, Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania) This first time event will give participants the opportunity to explore the industry’s latest achievements and technologies while offering a platform for networking with key figures from Tanzania and the region’s oil and gas sector.

Offshore Africa Conference 2015 (Sept.17-19, Port Harcourt, Nigeria) This conference focuses on offshore oil & gas development, attracting energy executives, officials and investors from around the world for a series of panels to discuss strategies to help manage industry-related issues and challenges as they operate, invest and expand offshore.

1st Ethiopia International Mining Conference (Sept. 23-24, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia) Supported by Ethiopia’s Ministry of Mines, the inaugural EIMC takes place at the UN Conference Center in Addis Ababa to explore developments in Ethiopia’s mining sector and focus attention on potential opportunities, lessons learned and promoting Ethiopia’s mining sector as stable and commercially viable for international investors.

1st ECOWAS Mining & Petroleum Forum (Oct. 6-8, Accra, Ghana) This is the first mining and oil conference to gather in one place high-ranking government delegations from all the fifteen ECOWAS Commission member states of Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cote d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo. The event will feature interactive workshops, plenary sessions, roundtables, country presentations and a trade exhibition.

22nd Africa Oil Week (Oct. 27-30, Cape Town, South Africa) Africa Oil Week – the longest-running oil, gas and energy industry event on the continent – is actually made up of several conferences and events, including the 13th Africa Independents Forum 2015, 17th Scramble for Africa Strategy Briefing, 22nd Africa Upstream 2015 and inaugural Africa Oil & Energy Finance Forum.

Africa Energy, Oil & Gas Conference 2015 (Nov.11-12, Nairobi) This two-day event will create a platform for industry experts, business leaders and officials to discuss the challenges and issues affecting East African oil & gas development. There will be a special emphasis on finance, including demand and supply, market assets and pricing.
