Guinea Entrepreneur Uses Scraps For Wind Energy Innovation

“What’s important is to show that there’s a possibility of generating an electricity easily without having to spend too much,” Mamadou Kolon, a Guinea Conakry green energy innovator said in a CCTV Africa report.

“This engine for example consumes relatively less than it outputs,” he said about one of his wind powered inventions created from a bike rim. According to CCTV Africa, between 400 and 700 watts of power are produced from the make-shift generators that Kolon builds from recycled materials. Only 26 years old, Kolon has managed to win over approval and business from community members.
