How India Is Pushing Tourism In Ghana

The Deputy Indian High Commissioner to Ghana, Ajaneesh Kumar, has expressed optimism that Ghana will derive a lot economically, if her tourism potential is exploited with the needed attention and support.

According to him, tourism has become a global business which can contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.

Mr Kumar pledged India’s continuous support to Ghana towards the realization of her developmental objectives particularly in the tourism industry.

He said this at a durbar for the staff and students of the Bueman Senior High School at Jasikan organized by the Akrofo Human and Environmental Ecological Resource Development Centre to expose the tourism potential of the area.

Mr Kumar recalled the excellent bilateral relations between his country and Ghana and gave assurance of his government’s continuous award of scholarships to Ghanaian students to pursue courses in India.
