Lesotho are confident they can start their 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign on a positive note when they travel to Ouagadougou to face Burkina Faso in a Group D match at the Stade du 4 Août on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 6:00pm (CAT).

It will be the first ever meeting between the two countries as they go in search of qualification for Morocco 2015. Speaking ahead of the game Lesotho midfielder Litšepe Marabe is aware of how important it is to get off to a positive start, especially in a group that consists of Angola and Gabon as well.

Lesotho face Burkina Faso first on Saturday before hosting Gabon four days later on September 10.

“We are in a very tough group but if we believe in our abilities, I think we can keep improving,” said Marabe.

“The two opening matches will be key and it is important that we get good results from the start. I’m ready to help my country qualify for the Morocco tournament. The team has done very well so far by reaching the group stages and we should keep working hard to ensure that we qualify for next year’s competition.”
