South Africa advanced its goal of opening markets with untraditional trading partners, signing an agriculture agreement with Argentina.

The agreement will help South Africa create jobs and exchange skills, said Tina Joemat-Peterrsson, South African minister of agriculture, forestry and fisheries.

South Africa and Argentina already have an extensive agricultural relationship and numerous agreement.

Argentina shares South Africa’s interest in developing small-scale farms, bolstering “no-till” technology and bio safety, the report says.
