Plane Carrying U.S. Military Crash Lands On Ugandan Road

A small plane carrying U.S. military personnel crash landed on a Ugandan road on Friday after it ran out of fuel, the Uganda police said.

The plane, which had eight people on board head to South Sudan, was returning to Entebbe International Airport but had to make an emergency landing in Mityana town about 41 miles from the Uganda capital Kampala, police spokesperson Philip Musaka told AP.

The landing only caused a traffic snarl up and nobody was injured.

Ugandan army spokesperson Lt. Col. Paddy Ankunda told Anadolu Agency the “American caravan … went down due to bad weather in Mityana.”
