17 Celebrities Whose Kids Got Into Trouble
You might think that having money and celebrity would make life easier for you and your family. That’s not necessarily the case. In some celebrity families, the term “more money, more problems” may be more true. Check out this list of celebrities whose kids got into trouble.
While Bruce Willis and Demi Moore were still together, they had daughter Scout Willis. At the age of 20, Willis was arrested in New York and charged with misdemeanors including alleged underage drinking and carrying a fake ID. She has also supposedly posed for some pretty scandalous photo shoots, including one in butt-less chaps on a motorcycle.
Long, loooong ago Playboy founder Hugh Hefner was in a conventional marriage and he made son Marston Hefner. At the age of 21, Marston was arrested for allegedly attacking his father’s playmate girlfriend, Claire Sinclaire. Bail was posted at $20,000.
With Paris Hilton as a role model, what do we expect from the boy? In 2011, when he was just 17 years old, Conrad Hilton crashed into two parked cars. He exchanged information with the owners but fled the scene before police arrived, perhaps trying to avoid following in his older brother’s footsteps of getting a DUI.
Redmond O’Neal is the son of the late Farrah Fawcett and actor Ryan O’Neal. He has been in and out of jail several times, usually for alleged possession of drugs. Sadly, Redmond’s father has been implicated as playing a part in his son’s troubles.
The son of Nicholas Cage and Christina Fulton, Weston Cage married his wife Nikki Williams at the young age of 20. Weston and Williams were both charged with felony domestic assault soon after they both got out of rehab.
The son of NHL quarterback Joe Montana and former model and actress Jennifer Wallace Montana, Nate was arrested for a DUI in 2011. He was one of 11 students arrested for underage drinking at a party.
When Bobbi Kristina — daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown — was 17, photos emerged of her allegedly snorting cocaine.
The daughter of actor Laurence Fishburne and his ex-wife Hanja Moss-Fishburne, Montana Fishburne allegedly became an adult film star before the age of 21. In 2010, she was arrested along with a maybe-boyfriend, allegedly for assault.
Son of fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger, Richard Hilfiger is a rapper. In 2010 Hilfiger was arrested for possession of marijuana, with suspicion to sell it. His bail was posted at $20,000.
Al Gore III
The son of former Vice President Al Gore and Mary Elizabeth Gore, Al Gore III was arrested for suspicion of possessing marijuana and prescription drugs. This happened after he was pulled over for driving more than 100 miles per hour.
Lest ye forget, Nicole is the adopted daughter of famed crooner Lionel Richie, and she has a history of being a high-profile mess. In 2003, Richie was arrested for heroin possession and driving on a suspended license. In 2007, she followed with a DUI (marijuana and Vicodin were the reported culprits) arrest after driving down the wrong side of the freeway.
Like Richie, O’Neal is a celebrity herself — the youngest Oscar winner in history for her role in “Paper Moon” (1973). Her co-star was her father, Ryan O’Neal, celeb-hunk of the 1970s. A heroin addiction in the 1990s led to her arrest in 2008 for buying crack outside her Manhattan apartment.
Legendary actor Michael Douglas’s son is currently serving a prison term until 2018 for selling large amounts of heroin out of a New York hotel room. His father has been fighting against the long-term sentencing, citing its length as being disproportionate to punishments for other comparable charges of non-violent crimes of possession.
Sound out the last name…yep, it’s Bon Jovi’s kid! In 2012, the rocker’s daughter was rushed to the hospital after being found passed out in her Hamilton College dorm room. The cause was a heroin overdose, and she was subsequently arrested for possession and paraphernalia.
Sorry, but did we see this coming? This is Keith Richard’s daughter. In 2011, the kid of the classically strung-out (but always talented) Rolling Stones rock star was arrested in New York City for tagging a wall on Prince Street. When the cops apprehended her, they found marijuana and Xanax on her person.
There never was a problem quite like Charlie. Celebrity Martin Sheen’s son was a hot shot on his own, but the last few decades have been rough for Charlie. In 1998, Martin turned his boy in for violating parole (he attacked his ex-wife) with a cocaine overdose. Nearly a decade later, Charlie went through legal and rehab troubles after attacking his third wife, Brooke Mueller.
The late son of the late film icon Marlon Brando was imprisoned after pleading guilty to manslaughter for killing his half sister’s boyfriend in 1990. In 2005, his ex-wife Deborah Presley filed spousal abuse charges against him. He died of pneumonia in 2008.
