In the company of the U.S., Portugal and Germany in group G, Ghana’s soccer team has a challenging road ahead in wake of the 2014 World Cup. CCTV Africa reports that players are hopeful that they’ll in the least surpass their 2010 FIFA World Cup quart-finals benchmark.
“I think we are in a tough group, but I think they’re also scared of us because Ghana is also one of the big countries. Each country coming to meet Ghana — they make sure they are prepared very well,” Harrison Afful, a Ghana Black Stars and Esperance de Tunis Defender said. “We know we are going to meet world class players.”
