From Asemana

Prime Minister José Maria Neves has met with the coordination board of Cape Verde’s Technological Park to constitute the steering committee that will oversee and ensure the implementation of the project.

Considered one of José Maria Neves’ pet projects, the Technological Park is budgeted at 35.9 million euros financed through a loan from the African Development Bank. An additional 4.4 million euros is being financed by the government of Cape Verde.

The project includes a Data Center, a Business Center, an Incubation Center and the Training and Qualification Center, and is expected to constitute yet another firm step in the implementation of Cape Verde’s Information and Communication Technology Cluster.

The committee is made up of representatives from the Ministry of Finances and Planning, the Directorate General of State Reform, the Ministry of Infrastructures and the Maritime Economy, the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Higher Learning, Science and Innovation.
