Pakistanis Encouraged To Pursue African Trade

From OnlineNews.com.

Africa is a potential market for Pakistani rice and Africa can supply Pakistan with leather, fertilizer, cotton, textile and agricultural products, members of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce said Saturday.

Neighboring India has already made significant inroads in trade with Africa and Pakistan should waste no time tapping the African market, Pakistani Caretaker Chief Minister Najam Sethi said at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industries Africa Show.

The Chief Minister visited stalls established by the embassies of Kenya, South Africa, Tunisia, Nigeria, Morocco, Egypt, Libya, Mauritius and Sudan.

Lahore Chamber President Farooq Iftikhar said visa policies should be relaxed between Pakistan and these countries to overcome unnecessary bottlenecks.
