Ghana Government Approves $9.7 Mln World Cup Budget for Black Stars

The Black Stars are expected to spend about half of the total budget during the group phase of the World Cup with the remaining estimated for the knockout round.

The Government of Ghana has approved a total of ¢24,677,025 (US$9,675,404) as budget for the Black Stars at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Information and Media Relation, the Cabinet approved the release of GH¢10,500,000 to the Ghana FA to finance Ghana’s participation in the first group stage of the summer football festival.
