UN Praises Morocco’s Peacekeeping Efforts

UN Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations Herve Ladsous has praised Morocco’s effort with UN operations in Africa where 1,600 Moroccan blue helmets are deployed, mosty in Côte d’Ivoire and Congo, reports Business Standard.

“I think that Morocco’s contribution should be commended since there are today 1,600 Moroccan blue helmets whom are deployed mainly in Côte d’Ivoire and Congo,” Ladsous Wednesday told the Moroccan news agency MAP.

“I must say that every time I was in one of these missions, I insisted on meeting the Moroccan contingents to express our recognition for the tremendous job they are doing,” he added.
