The minister of Urbanisation and Housing, José António da Conceição e Silva, said Monday in Luanda that the financing of housing contributes to the reduction of housing deficit and boosts development of the country’s financing sector.

The government official was speaking during the opening of a workshop on “Urbanisation and housing in sub-Saharan countries”, having mentioned the formula of other countries of the world that were able to develop their capital market with significant sums of money, thanks to the refinancing of mortgage debt, an experience that Angola is to follow.
