Botswana’s Bazezuru Tribe Parents Ignore Government’s Public Health Bill, to Face Penalties

Botswana’s Bazezuru tribe is headed for a fresh row with government after declaring they will ignore the Public Health Bill that requires them to immunise their children.

The Bazezuru community has sworn, again, that they will defy a government directive that compels people to take their children for immunisation.

The notorious tribe has, in the past, told government that God is the answer to their health problems and they do not need modern medicine.

The Public Health Bill, which was recently passed by parliament, calls for penalties for parents who fail to take their kids for immunisation.

But African Gospel of God Church pastor Jewero Majana of the same tribe maintained that will not change anything. He queried why his community was not consulted when the bill was drafted.
