Four Indian citizens who won a South African tourism contest got to tour the African country with cricket star Jonty Rhodes and showcase their experiences in a travel guide in association with Lonely Planet Magazine, according to a report in TravelBizMonitor.com.

Rhodes, an ambassador for South African Tourism, launched the 44-page guide, “My Travel Escapades in South Africa,” last week in Mumbai.

To attract Indian travelers, South African Travel launched a contest, “Take Me to South Africa.” Four winners took a trip to South Africa with Rhodes, who played host and tour guide.

“My Travel Escapades in South Africa” tells the story of Rhodes’ and the winners’ trip through Johannesburg, Cape Town, Garden Route, various game reserves, scenic wine lands and Durban.
