She Leads Africa Teams With Dark & Lovely For African Women’s Tech Accelerator

Looking down the pipeline of women in tech, the picture isn’t rosy. Of the STEM disciplines, tech is the only one where the participation of women has actually decreased in the last 20 years. This is due to many reasons, not the least of which is the underestimation of the entrepreneurship potential of women.

She Leads Africa, a community that helps young African women achieve their professional dreams, in partnership with beauty brand, Dark & Lovely Africa, has just opened applications for the 2017 Dark & Lovely x SLA Beauty Accelerator.

From Konbini. Story by Odunayo Eweniyi.

The accelerator program is a 10 week-long entrepreneurship development program to support early stage entrepreneurs who are building businesses in the beauty industry.

Entrepreneurs from different sectors in the beauty industry (media, products, technology and retail) can apply and submissions are welcome from entrepreneurs from South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire and Kenya. Submissions close on 1 September at 11:59pm WAT.
