The government will take over Air Zimbabwe’s debt to ensure that the national airline starts on a fresh page when it finds a strategic partner.

This came out at the end of the International Air Transport Association conference in Victoria Falls.

The government has already identified 12 foreign airlines that are stable which may be interested in partnering the national airline.

The strategy will resuscitate the airline and enable it to penetrate new routes, a development expected to bring tourists into the country.
