Chelsea Want Kwadwo Asamoah From Juventus

Transfer rumours emanating from England seem to suggest that Premier League club Chelsea are interested in the services of Ghanaian midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah from Italian Serie A side Juventus.

The midfielder previously played under incoming Chelsea coach Antonio Conte at Juventus in the past, and seems to be on his wish list as he prepares for a new job in the EPL.

Asamoah has struggled with injuries for much of the current season, but has been a popular player since joining Juventus in 2012. He recently won his fourth successive Serie A triumph with the Bianconeri of Turin.

Reports in England elude to the fact that Conte wants to be reunited with the Black Stars player in London. According to Metro, the 27-year-old could be approached during the upcoming transfer season for a move to the Blues.

Asamoah suffered an injury in November, and although an early prognosis predicted that he would make his return by the end of January, a number of unexpected setbacks extended his time on the sidelines, with an eventual comeback only happening at the end of April.

The Black Stars midfield maestro scored five goals for the Turin side in 105 appearances, proving to be a strong player who contributed both in attack and defence.
