Women’s economic empowerment is increasingly viewed in Zimbabwe as the most important contributing factor to achieving equality between women and men.

Zimbabwe women have the potential to change their own economic status as well as that of the communities in which they live, says Zimbabwe Vice President Joice Mujuru.

An expo will be held in Zimbabwe on July 27 to enable young businesswomen to showcase their skills and products.

“The event will feature motivational and education presentations from Zimbabwean women in business in order to encourage and educate young women to run and manage their operations and the importance of investments,” said Tinashe Madamombe, co-coordinator for the event.
